Maybe you heard about it — last night, two people who would both like to be president held a public debate. One of them was a former White House resident, US senator, and Secretary of State. The other was, well… it’s kind of a long story.
Since the moderators of these debates haven’t exactly been scoring high so far, we took no chances this time: we glued ourselves to the internet, where David Cay Johnston, our man in Trumpsterdam, took to the ones and zeroes, live-tweeting the whole affair. Since he’s the author of a New York Times bestselling biography of Trump, a Pulitzer Prize recipient, and a three-decade personal acquaintance of Trump’s, we were pretty eager to hear what he had to say.
