JetBlue is giving away money for libraries again
by Taylor Sperry
We’ve written pretty extensively about JetBlue’s efforts to get free books to young readers—from the pilot program (get it?!) that installed book vending machines to D.C., to the Soar with Reading initiatives in Detroit and Fort Lauderdale.
The company’s latest venture is called Book with Us (a little on-the-nose marketing-wise, don’t you think?) and “will provide $25,000 in children’s books to a library in one of the more than 100 cities up for vote,” according to Michele Debczak at Mental Floss. JetBlue is also continuing the Soar with Reading program, which this year will bring five new book vending machines to the Bay Area and dispense 100,000 free books.
