Jean-Christophe Valtat @ The Steampunk World’s Fair

The Steampunk World’s Fair
May 18 – 20, 2012

21 Kingsbridge Rd
Piscataway Township, NJ 08854

The lore as writ by the event organizers:

When the World’s Fair started, there were many great Steampunk conventions, but few festivals. We were one of the first Steampunk festivals in the world.  We remain one of very few festivals – and, perhaps, the best.

What might make us the best?  It’s not simply the fact that we are, arguably, the largest event of this kind – we are filling two hotels! Both the Radisson and the Embassy Suites (Piscataway) will be main hotels.

Melville House author Jean-Christophe Valtat is a guest of honor at this year’s festival and his dance bill is quite full. Below is a listing of his various engagements.

Friday 7:35 to 8:30 PM: Gaslight and the Victorian Aesthetic in literature

Saturday, 10:15 to 11:15 PM: Boardroom B: “Steampunk? More like Teslapop: The perimeters of genre”

Saturday, 6:35 to 7:35 PM: Steampunk Goes Global

Saturday, 1:00-2:55 PM “Steam Tea” and Book Signing open to the authors participating in the literary track, if you would like to come for that; it’s on Saturday, 1:00 to 2:55pm.
