Book lover uses personal library to create imaginative scenes

It takes a lot of creative effort to come up with new and inventive ways to pose books for Instagram – trust us, we know. But, one book influencer has stepped up her game to a whole new level.

Meet Elizabeth Sagan, a woman who gained a massive following of 100,000 users on Instagram by posing with her book collection. Each photo stars her in the middle of a scene illustrated by book covers posed on their sides – in the rain, on a surfboard, on top of a vibrant red heart. The collection encapsulates both a sincere appreciation for book cover artists and a tremendous love for the act of buying and reading books.

Although her Instagram has been around since January 2016, it wasn’t until this past year that she started designing these elaborate photoshoots. Before that, Sagan still eagerly shared covers for some of her favorite books, propping them up on railings and gushing about them in the description. More recently, Sagan has officially partnered with authors like Anna Todd and Michel Guyon to create photoshoots centered around their upcoming books. However, she still continues to use her platform to recommend the books she loves outside of these partnerships.

Sagan also uses her posts to stimulate discussion, packaging the photos together with questions ranging from the use of maps in books to the art of bookstagramming. “The goal is to make the younger generations fall in love with reading,” Sagan said in an interview with Mashable. “That’s at the core of everything.”

You can see more of Sagan’s book art and reviews on her Instagram and Facebook.
