Publishers Johnny Temple of Akashic and Melville House’s own Dennis Johnson were interviewed by C-Span’s Book TV at the industry convention Book Expo America two weeks ago in New York City. Topics touched upon: Brooklyn as the publishing center of the world, how much money a rock band makes, how much money a bestselling faux-children’s book makes, and how to start a small publishing house, win friends and influence people.
