FRIDAY SOMETHING-OR-OTHER-TO-DO-WITH-BOOKS MUSIC VIDEO: The Talking Heads’ “The Book I Read”
by Kevin Murphy
Part two in our new weekly series featuring music videos that refer, in some way or other, to books.
This week it’s “The Book I Read” by the Talking Heads, a classic from their debut album.
This first video shows a live performance from 1978. It’s grainy and the audio is poor, but hey, it really brings you back!
This second video has much better audio but not much to look at besides the red cover from the album Talking Heads: 77. What to do? Close your eyes and sing along …
Oh … I’m living in the future
I feel wonderful
I’m tipping over backwards
I’m so ambitious
I’m looking back I’m
Running a race and you’re the book I read so …
